About
the Artist
Lori Konkle passed away Sept 22nd 2007 in Charlottesville,
Virginia.
Thank you to all who bought her paintings over the years. Lori painted
about 527 paintings and sold most of them to people around Virginia
and West Virginia. Lori gave all the proceeds of her paintigs to
chairity.
A
native of Chicago, Lori Konkle attended Denison University in Granville,
Ohio, and received a B.A. Degree in Art Education from Michigan
State University. She was an art consultant in the elementary schools
in Grand Rapids, Michigan and a high school art teacher in Lansing,
Michigan. Lori was physically challenged by Multiple Sclerosis painted
with a mouthstick brush.
Lori's
work has been shown in Charlottesville, Waynesboro, and Richmond,
Virginia and also in Davis, West Virginia. Lori lived near the Blue
Ridge Mountains of Virginia, and her landscapes often reflected
the special character of that area.
