Resources in Display 2001-present
Kenilworth, NJ
Engineering
and development for permanent and temporary display fixtures. Prepare
fabrication drawings for in-house prototyping in wood, metal, CNC
machined and vacuum formed plastic. Produce final engineering part
drawings and oversee development of tooling drawings. Engineer injection
molded parts and produce rapid prototype pre-production samples
(SLA) directly from 3D parametric models created in Solidworks program.
Create drawing sets for generating competitive pricing estimates.

Engineered
and developed permanent displays. Worked with in-house steel prototyping
shop mocking up full scale in-line gondola structures. Produced
engineering drawings (3D Autocad) for steel, wood and glass parts.
Clients: Stop and Shop, Walmart, K-mart

Spectrum Industries 1998-00
Wheatley Heights, NY
Designed
and developed display fixtures for retail and mass merchandising
environments. Prepared fabrication drawings for in house prototyping
in steel, CNC machined wood and plastic. Generated original concepts
with informal sketch presentations as well as finished renderings
with material specifications. Analyzed manufacturing options appropriate
for a variety of projects requiring vacuum forming, wire forming,
metal structures and wood/laminate construction for pricing and
pre-production samples.

Worldwide In-store Marketing, Inc. 1994-97
New York, NY, NY
Initiated
and developed display concepts for mass merchandising applications.
Prepared creative presentations with supporting renderings, schematics
and volumetric analysis. Coordinated the construction of prototypes
by vendors and oversaw the in-house development of permanent store
fixtures. Preliminary engineering and control drawings of plastic,
metal and wood components. Designed exhibit for 1997 POPAI Show
at the Javits Center.

Directed
research relating to the classification of product by target market
analysis, volumetric requirements, and retail environment. Designed
a modular product dispensing fixture addressing the resulting functional
parameters.

Industrial Design Undergraduate Department
Instructor
for three dimensional form course required of all industrial design
undergraduates. This intensive four credit course explores the spatial
interaction of volumes, planes and lines so that students becomes
comfortable with the abstract language of visual form. Skills are
then applied to solving and refining complex improvised "accidents"
into striking design statements.
